What should I wear? Fourth graders will be answering that question during the next science unit. Students will learn about how weather is created, how weather is forecasted, and why it is important to know what the weather will be. This unit will involve observation, experimentation, and reflection of the weather.
To begin the unit, students created a "mind map" of weather. They wrote ideas and thoughts that came to their mind when they thought of weather. Check out your student's mind map on their science blog by clicking on their teacher's name above.

Fourth Graders Engineers
As students continue their unit about water, they are now becoming environmental engineers. Students are learning that an engineer designs technology to solve problems. Technology is a part of our everyday life, and students are using the Engineering Design Process to create technology. This series of lessons integrates literacy, social studies, and math as they work collaboratively to solve problems as engineers. Ask your students about the Engineering Design Process and how they are thinking like engineers. Click here for more 4th grade engineering pictures.
